Note that I have left the University of Bielefeld as of 1 December, 2009 and that I am now working at the University of Münster at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (my coordinates at the University of Münster).

Here is a short introduction to my “university life”:

My name is Angela Holtmann and I studied mathematics as a diploma student from October 1994 until July 2000 (with emphasis on representation theory and biology as my second subject) at the University of Bielefeld.

During my diploma studies, I was a member of the students' representatives. Among other things, I was responsible for the lecture evaluations, a member of the committee for tutorials (4 years) and of the faculty's main committee (1 year, and 2 years as a deputy member). Furthermore, I worked in the "Projekt: Studienberatung Online"1), which was a joint project of the students' representatives from 12 different faculties, in which we wrote a lot of web sites for an online course guidance, some of which still exist.

I wrote my diploma thesis and my PhD thesis in the subject representation theory of finite dimensional algebras with Claus Michael Ringel.

As scientific assistant, I also worked (as the chair) in the committee for tutorials (from October 2003 until October 2006). From October 2006 until June 2008, I was a member of the faculty's main committee, again.
