airport (lower level) to the main station of Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf Hbf),
it leaves every 20 minutes and takes 20 minutes.
From the main station of Düsseldorf, there are fast trains (IC, EC, ICE)
to the main station of Bielefeld (Bielefeld Hbf
); these trains leave every hour, it takes 100 minutes. Sometimes one has
to change trains in Dortmund (same platform, just opposite).
At present, trains leave Düsseldorf Hbf every day at 5:19, 6:27, 7:19,
8:31*, 9:19, 10:31*, 11:19, 12:31*, 13:19, 14:31*, 15:19,
16:31*, 17:19, 18:31*, 20:31, 21:31*. (Here,
* means: change of trains at Dortmund.)
Hannover
There is a bus connection from the airport to the main station of Hannover
(Hannover Hbf),
it leaves every 20 minutes and takes 20 minutes (provided there is no traffic jam).
From the main station, there are fast trains (IC, EC, ICE)
to the main station of Bielefeld (Bielefeld Hbf);
these trains leave every hour, it takes 50 minutes.

Hamburg
Sometimes convenient for visitors travelling from Scandinavia.
There is an airport bus to the main station (Hamburg Hbf). From there, one
should take a (fast) train (= ICE) to Hannover, change trains, and continue to
the main station of Bielefeld ((Bielefeld Hbf).
The train rides together take 130 - 150 minutes.
