From the conference hotels to the university
By taxi
A large taxi stand is next to the Hauptbahnhof,
Bielefeld's main train station.
A taxi ride to the university takes about 10 minutes and costs
about 20 DM.

By bus
Main bus stations are located at the Hauptbahnhof and
the Jahnplatz, the main square in the downtown area.
The Hauptbahnhof and the Jahnplatz are connected by subway lines
1, 2 and 3,
which run regularly throughout the day.
Both
conference hotels, the Mövenpick Hotel and the
Hotel Bremen, are in short walking distances to
both the Hauptbahnhof and the Jahnplatz. The one-way fare to and from
the university (including a transfer to the subway) is 3 DM.
Ticket can be bought from machines (at most bus stops) and from the driver.
